In 2024, Michael Jewett, Rod Jewett, and Tom James contacted us with pictures and information about the Modesto Roadmen in the 1970s, a subject about which we previously had virtually no information. Those pictures are on this page.
I heavily cropped this set of pictures to make the thumbs as meaningful as possible. That means a lot of context was lost and thus it is well worth clicking through to the full size images.

Eight years after pausing his cycling career to finish his education, Rod Jewett began his comeback, this time as a track racer. He raced against the likes of Fred Markum and Eric Heiden.
